Officer Annual Meeting Policy

The Annual Meeting Chariman is responsible for organizing the venue, social events, and activities for the annual meeting. This process is lengthy and time consuming and often requires a pre-meeting visit to the site.The Rocky Mountain Neurosurgical Society will reimburse reasonable and customary travel, lodging, and dining expenses for the site visit. The annual meeting chairman, who must be a member of the organization, is expected to attend the annual meeting, register and pay for desired social events. Lodging expenses for the run of the meeting will be covered by the society as a token of thanks for organizing the meeting.

 

The President, who must also be a member of the organization, is expected to attend the annual meeting, register, and pay for social events. The purpose of the annual meeting in part is to honor the President for service on behalf of the organization. The society will cover the cost of lodging expenses for the run of the meeting for the president and his/her spouse at the annual meeting as a token of appreciation.

 

The annual meeting often requires on-site coordination of registration and social event information. Historically, the Secretary of the organization brings his/her assistant to perform this local support. The society will cover the cost of reasonable and customary advance purchase coach travel, lodging for the run of the meeting, and meals.
